Introduction

Alternates overview

Cross References in Zenode evaluate candidates against your prime part so you can swap with confidence and compare side by side.

Find Alternates starts from a prime part (the MPN you want to replace). You can optionally add candidate MPNs you already have in mind and free-text instructions so the evaluation matches your application (e.g. automotive temp, low Iq, pin-compatible SOIC).

What gets evaluated

Zenode scores candidates across dimensions such as:

  • Functional compatibility — Role and key features of the device
  • Electrical specifications — Voltages, currents, limits that must match your design
  • Pinout — Footprint-friendly or true pin-for-pin where applicable
  • Package & footprint — Mechanical fit to your board
  • Pricing & availability — Commercial reality checks
  • Side-by-side comparison — See prime vs candidates in one view

Richer AI instructions (application, rail voltages, environment) usually produce better ranking and explanations.
